Various
Models for Socials Systems
Çağlar Tuncay
Department of Physics / METU
After a short introduction
of the complex systems, the populations of stock exchanges, languages, cities
and countries are considered where the competitions between the populations of
biological species are also treated. The irregularities, regularities or
randomness in behaviors of these populations are discussed where random
matrices or coupled maps are handled as two simple examples of the methods for
mimicking the available empirical data.
Çağlar Tuncay graduated from METU Physics
Department. His studied Solid State Physics for MSc. and PhD. theses. He wrote
various books on science and history, theatre scripts, novels and stories for
children or adults. He currently is working
on complex systems where the basic issue is randomness and regularities. He has
publications in Europhysics Letters, International Journal of Modern Physics.
He is working currently on bio-signals such as electrocardiograms or electroencephalograms.
