Every registered student has an IE domain account that enables the student to use computers in the Department's laboratories. This account is automatically opened for the new students after the course add-drop period ends. The account information is sent to the student's email address provided by METU Computer Center ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ). 

This email message also contains information about how to use laboratories, computers and the printing service. Please read the entire message carefully. 

METU IE Department has its own wireless access service called AWLP developed by Alptekin Çakırcalı in addition to the service provided by METU Computer Center. The Department's service is encrypted with a WEP key, therefore all communications through the access points are secure. Students who want to use this service to access the computer laboratory resources should register their devices (laptop computers and cellular phones that run WiFi) with Bahar Acu or Tarık Dinç.

The study room is for exclusive use of the IE students.
